October 14, 2010 (Showbiz PR Wire): The film that turned theatres across the city into college campuses has garnered an approximate amount of 50 Crores worldwide.

After taking a bumper opening in Mumbai, Delhi NCR and Punjab the film went on to collect $1.55 million from all overseas markets and is still looking up thanks to the patronage of the country’s youth who’ve welcomed with open arms – the zingy romantic comedy after super hit film ‘Housefull’ from the house of Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment.

Anjaana Anjaani registered approximately 8.5 crores for the 1st day across India ... the youth of India give it a thumping opening and reception ...back to back shows at multiplexes registering full to near full.

Says a trade source “Ranbir Kapoor is on a roll. With Anjaana Anjaani he keeps with his track record of being one of the most bankable young stars in the industry. When he comes on screen, he is not pretentious. He established the trend of Youngistan and the youth can just relate to him”

The interpretation of the modern-day romance that left several inspired also had it’s music topping charts across the country.

Adds renowned critic Taran Adarsh “ Anjaana Anjaani doesn't follow the beaten path. It doesn't follow the rules laid out by the romantics in Bollywood. And that's where its strength lies”.
