Karan Johar received it after 12 years, since he last received for his debut movie Kuch Kuch Hota Hai. The night was made interesting by SRK with his amazing performance with the ‘dhak dhak’ girl Madhuri Dixit in a baby pink lehanga choli. King Khan in a ‘black pathani’ dress not less gorgeous than the Bollywood dancing diva.

The young faces Imran Khan and Ranbir Kapoor paired again to offer some rib tickling moments as the hosts of the show. The duo offered some funny moments with their acts of Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan.

However, Salman Khan took away the ‘best film’ award with his corrupt cop story through Dabangg. Ranveer Singh and Anuskha Sharma hit the stage to pump up the heat with their Band Baaja Barat performance. Ranveer also bagged the ‘Best Debut Actor (male)’ award for his casual performance in BBB while Sonakshi Sinha won the female part for her village belle act in Dabangg.

On this occasion, megatsar Amitabh Bachchan was honoured for completing 40 years in Bollywood. This award was presented by Shah Rukh and Yash Chopra.

On the other hand, Madhuri Dixit Nene was honoured in the hands of Aishwarya Rai Bachchan for completing 25 years in this industry.

Small And Medium Films Will Benefit During World Cup Season: Industry Experts

StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-January 31, 2011: The season of World Cup and Indian Premiere League is coming as a blessing for the small and medium budget films, say the industry experts. The big banner houses usually avoid any release during this time so small and medium films will reap the benefit.

World Cup series will end on 2nd April and then IPL will continue till the end of May. So, Akshay Kumar, Hrithik Roshan and all the Khans of Bollywood will avoid release of their films during this time period. They don’t want their films to clash with the matches. This offers great opportunity to small and medium budget films to release without much competition from big banners.

Tanuj Garg, CEO of Balaji Motion Pictures says that during IPL season nothing big happens in the entertainment space so the audience would go for the mid-sized films with high concept.

StarBuzz Weekly, Toronto-January 29, 2011: Bollywood star Shahid Kapoor’s mom Neelima Azim has reportedly separated from her third husband Ustad Raza Ali Khan and this is being speculated because Raza has recently left for Kolkata.

According to the buzz, the couple that is Neelima Azim and hubby Raza would be constantly having arguments until one fine day Raza just moved out and went away to Kolkata.

However, according to counter reports Neelima Azim denies the rumors and insists that it is not that she and Raza have separated. Rather it is out of mutual arrangement that both have decided to go in for such a decision as Raza was not able to do so well for himself in Mumbai, so he shifted to Kolkata for better prospects.

Neelima Azim who had separated from Pankaj Kapoor, Shadid’s dad when Shahid was only three years old. After that she reportedly had married Rajesh Kattar who is also an actor and had a son with him and named him Ishaan.

However, after having separated from him, she had got into marital bliss with Ustad Raza Ali Khan.

Neelima and Raza lived happily in Yari Road Mumbai for years and now news about their separation is all over the place.
